Hi Charlie,this can be easily done by using an external timebase. Just right- click the patch title and set the topmost menu to 'External'. The now appearing additional input port can then be fed with its 'own' time using a Stopwatch, for instance.
Please see the two attached comps. Place the windows alongside, then trigger the 'beep' in the OSC sender.
The receiver should then be animating. Hope this helps, take care Oli
