I used to harp about this alot, but now have given up. Timelines being locked in is useless (or, of extremely limited use). Something like taking the Ableton/Logic paradigm, where you can make automation curves as a file is playing, "look ahead" and see upcoming events, and have a loop type editor where you can cut/paste/nudge events, etc., in real time, would be a best of both worlds type of approach to reconciling timelines with realtime/interactive type activities. I perceive this as a separate inspector type or a kind of extra editor app running within QC. I think that's so far outside of the way that stuff like this typically works that maybe it only seems like a good idea to me ;) -George Toledo > Thanks a lot! > Charlie > > On 13 September 2010 16:19, Oliver Busch <[email protected]>wrote: > >> Hi Charlie, >> >> this can be easily done by using an external timebase.
