Thanks, Oliver. I've actually spent the last hour discovering Directory Scanner 
and the other requisite pieces to make it work. I seem to be able to select an 
image duration and a dissolve time. The performance is very bad, though. 
Loading an image seems to make all of QC stop processing for the duration (I'm 
testing with very large images).
