Hi Jaygo
You might like to take a look at Kineme's Freeboard patch. It allows
direct access to the keyboard in a live way like you want. There is a
minor bug in the Keyboard patch which means that the Freeboard
modifier keys can muck up inputs from the Keyboard patch when they are
used together (e.g. for gaming key inputs) occasionally. Well in
Leopard that was the case anyhow. IIRC cwright said he took the
bug-track but it was no easy to fix as as far as I know remains unfixed.

Hi Folks
I have been following the thread for some time, and always gleaning
interesting information for
my beginning steps with Quartz Composer. Today I come upon a problem
and hope someone can advise.
I am trying to create a dynamic text .qtz patch. I use string to
input text but want for my text to appear on stage instantly
when any key is pressed and not to have to be inputed by my hitting
'return'. How can I do this ?
Thanks
