No - my problem was the installation and the restart when booting installer. I 
found the solution here:

After that everything was working. Well, at least so far. I will continue 
setting up the system next week...

and librem 17“ is not available right now...

I will continue using the X1C due to the lack of real alternatives (the X1C was 
recommended for qubes-use).
