It's not true that all reference to TorVM was removed from the docs. In fact, the intro section of our main Whonix page specifically mentions TorVM and links to the the TorVM page. [1] As you know, the decision to deprecate TorVM was years ago, [2][3] and it's been unmaintained ever since. Using it now could be dangerous, unless you really know what you're doing.
