Does Microsoft Windows support memory locking? -- John Hasler
Memory can be allocated from non-paged-pool for use with device drivers, and that memory is locked. But I would need to read up to provide more information. Yes, a quick check says that both device drivers and Windows applications can attempt to lock pages in physical memory.
