drift compensation: 3 digits (of parts per million)

precision=-19 is ~001.907us ?
Would not a factor of 10 be hundreds of nano-seconds?

Yes, for -19, but what about my -22 system? In any case, I was simply suggesting that the same data should be available through ntpq as through loopstats. The precision with which that data should be reported is not an issue in the bug report.
