I should have clarified that statement. The information for the Briefing field changed, where they no longer provide detailed information about a company's core business.
For example the 1-3-05 briefing for ADBE states: ADBE is a provider of graphic design, publishing, & imaging software for Web and print production. (followed by other fundamental info) The (new version) Briefing for 1-3-06 states: For the fiscal year ended 2 December 2005, Adobe System Incorporated's revenues increased 18% to $1.97B. (followed by other fundamental info) Notice there is no information there about the company's core business. You know how you may periodically get those ads in the mail for newletters touting their "Hot Stock" of the year? They tell you all about the company, but come just short of telling you the name (or symbol) of the company (after all, the goal is to get you to subscribe to their newsletter). Exporting the old Briefing field into Excel allowed you to search the entire QP database and know EXACTLY what company they are talking about.....within seconds I might add. This is just one example of the usefulness of the old format. Joe --- In [email protected], "investor0329" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > ??? > Briefings are still in my version of QP (2.3).
