Hi Gary - after my 2nd bad experience with the beta yesterday, I just went
ahead and reinstalled the main QP program ( that I downloaded from your link )
over the beta and so far all seems to be well again. Do you think there is
really an advantage to uninstalling everything first? If so, could you explain?
Thanks very much for your help!

Steve

  Hello Steve -

I'll have to put together a different install for the qp32 release, there
have been several people who had this problem even though I can't recreate the
problems here.

Please uninstall your qp installation, and then install the regular qp3 as
you already did, don't install the qp32 yet.

  Best regards

  Gary

Gary - Reinstalled original program as directed, then the beta. First
install seemed to go well but on the beta install the downloader asked for my
password about 10 times in a row ( it was automatically filled in ) and then
quit. Went to QP setup and that won't start either, I get a message saying it
is not configured properly. Now what?

      Hello Steve

First re install qp3 from here:

      http://www.qp2.com/downloadinstaller.php

When that's working, you can install the beta.

      Best regards

      Gary

Hi Gary / Ken - Just wondering if you guys got this problem resolved. I
am having exactly the same problem, same error messages, etc. The QP version I
have installed, prior to trying this one, is QP3Setup.exe

Should I just try to reinstall the original setup? Any other
suggestions? Thanks!

        Steve

That doesn't work. I think the problem is that I don't have the QP3
version in the first place. I get this message:

          C:\Program Files\QuotesPlus\qpproc.exe

This application has failed to start because the application
configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Upon closer exam, I don't see a qp3 version at all in my folder.

Sorry about this confusion. Do I need a new disc from you to move on
with all this/

          Thanks, Ken

            Hello Ken -

It sounds like you downloaded the program updates, and then got
that error when downloading the data files.

Just click Update Database to apply the data that was downloaded.

Start - Programs - Quotes Plus - Update Database.

It should be ok after that.

            Best regards

It tells me 5 files were downloaded then gives me Error:19
              Unknown error:19

Now what should I do? Thanks,
              Ken Adams

                Hello Brett -

This is included in any QP subscription, there is no additional
charge.

This installation replaces the Quotes plus dll, downloader and
setup program. It installs the new chart program and downloads the latest
Hemscott updates.

It does not touch the old chart program, both chart programs
will be functional.

Your existing scans and lists will not be touched.

                Best regards,

                Gary Lyben

                  Good Afternoon --

Is this version more costly than the current one?
Will it overly my current version or just install in new
folders?
If it overlays the current version will Ir pick up my
existing Q-P scans?

                  Thanks, Brett

                    Hello -

There is a new beta chart version available at:
http://www.qp2.com/qp32_setup.exe

This version include the new Hemscott industry groups,
there is a 10 year history of over 200 industry groups indexes updated daily.

Also included is a much improved Metastock and ASCII export
facility, just right clicking on almost anything will bring up a context menu
that allows you to export stocks, etf's lists indexes as a group to Metastock
or ASCII formats.

Commodities are now included in the charts.

A group performance view is included.

There will be some movies up at the www.qp2.com web site
later today.

This version requires QP3 or above, it won't install on
QP2.x.

                    Best regards,

                    Gary Lyben
