Hi,
1. I'm making an instrument list for my keybord. i got a program number
like this, 001. what should > i at to my file, "001" or " 1", the same as
in the other files?
It doesn't matter. 1 is easier to type and to read.
However, there's one thing to be careful of:
Sometimes keyboards and keyboard manuals can list program numbers from 1 to
128. The values you use in real MIDI are 0 to 127. So, if the program
numbers are listed 1 to 128, simply subtract 1 when you write the instrument
list for QWS.
2. I got the yamaha software synthesizer syxg50. when i add the general xg
instruments list to that >
device, make a track and i change the instrument to for example church
organ, no things will
happened and the piano will play, with all the voices. ...
I am not familiar with the synth, but here are a couple of suggestions:
a) Don't use an instrument list for the moment, and just enter program
numbers. Does the instrument change now?
If it does, then there is a problem with the instrument list not being
compatible with the synth or, the synth is not set to the correct mode to
work with the instrument list.
b) If the instrument does not change when you just use program numbers
without the instrument list, then there is a serious problem with the synth.
Check the mode of the synth to see if you need to set something up first.
c) Check the manual that came with the synth to see what program and bank
numbers are used with it.
Hope this helps.
James.
