The only thing I can add to this discussion is that when you use insert
page down or better jawskey page down then the intire line is read out
lout.
It can some times be a bit chalenging to remember all the information
presented on such a status line especially if there are many different
figures.
Yes, I can see that (ha ha). What I tend to do is if I want a particular
piece of info and if I can't catch it by reading the whole status bar is to
press the initial letter of the field (as if you were going to edit) and
then press ENTER to call up the normal edit dialog, then press ESCAPE once
you've heard what you want. Just don't press ESCAPE twice as it will take
you out of the editor.
How's that for a dirty work-around?
Of course, those with some scripting knowhow could write dozens of JAWS
macros to read each individual field, that would be possible as well.
