Hey sir James,
Out of curiousety, what serious bug did you find?

I hope you'll make it posible in a future version to copy portions of a song in just one single step including all tracks.

Best regards
Brian

Emne: QWS List New version coming soon

Hi folks,

Just wanted to say that I'm hoping to release a new version of QWS soon.

I had wanted to add more functions before release, but I'm going to be away for quite a bit next month and I thought that if I didn't do something now, it might well be next year before anything else got done.

Anyway, the new version will have the following:

- Translatable user interface via a "prompt" file. If anyone is interested in translating QWS into other languages, a translation guide will be available.

- This does mean that QWS takes a little longer to load, so I added a splash screen for while it's loading.

- Quantise swing function: the quantise tool has an additional parameter that lets you swing the resulting quantised notes. Took me a little while to get the mathematics right there but I think it's OK now.

- Also a couple of bug fixes. I'm slightly surprised that no-one noticed one of the bugs I've fixed.

- Also, because of the removal of traditional Windows help (.HLP) in Vista, I am converting the help file into HTML help format. This means that probably after this coming release, we will have .CHM instead of .HLP. I'm still working on this one though so it probably won't be ready just yet.

Out of interest, is anyone using QWS under Vista? How does it go?

Converting the help to HTML also presents some interesting questions for the document version of the manual - I've yet to deal with that.

Right, that's enough waffle from me for now.

James.
