If you do, can you set up in such a way that you hear rhythms? If you can hear these, it sounds to me that you have not set up the metronome in the "play" menu. I think this is the first item in the list. More could be said, but this is a starting point. By the way, just pressing f 4 won't start the metronome. You must have a track containing music. If you do not have one, record a short passage. If the metronome was turned on at the start of a recording, you should hea! it counting. If you do not hear anything, it is possible that the metronome was off. f 4 toggles the metronome either on or off.
