Hi, <smile>.
I can promise yu that your machine will not explode in your face, whether or
not you pass on these things, <grin>.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, we've all done it at 1 time or another.
Basically if the message mentions symantec or any other virus company,
microsoft or any other computer company, it's likely to be a hoax.
Microsoft never issue virus alerts and symantec do it through their site and
their virus products not random letters that come from who knows.
If it mentions cnn or any other news service, then it's definitely a hoax.
If it's all over the news you'll know about it before reading one of these
letters.
Finally, if in doubt, don't forward them to lists, in case they are a hoax or
worse, themselves contain a virus as happened a few years back, they can turn
out to be sent to a lot of people yu don't even know.
Hth.
Cheers!

Hi, it's a hoax, they all are.
It's another version of the old sector 0 virus warning we all first started
seeing about the time windows 95 was released a dozen or so years ago.
Note: there are indeed viruses, well worms, perporting to be postcards and
you should always take care of attachments.
The best defence however is good, up to date antivirus software and great
care.
If in doubt, check it out.
Simply email the person you received the unexpected attachment from and ask
them if they sent you one.
If they say no or don't know what you're talking about, yu'll know.
Hth.
Cheers!

I really, really hope this is not a chain letter, I know these things
often are but this looks like it is real. I don't know for sure whether this is
real or even possible, but if it is we could have problems. So don't bite my
head off, I'm only trying to help.
Hi All,
I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus!
I checked snopes.com, this morning ( 2/04/2008 ) and it is for real!!
