Hi Simon, I have a Casio Privia as my keyboard. The song that came with Quick Windows Sequencer did play. I did change my MIDI playback device to Yamaha MIDI out-01 in my Audio Tab in my Control Pannel like you said to do. Is there anything else you can tell me that might help me? Sincerely, Janelle

what do you have as a USB device. I mean, what keyboard, synthesizer, etc. is it? This might help, as it could be an issue with the keyboard. Also,k try going into control panel, sounds and audio devices, audio tab, and selecting Yamaha USB out 01 as the default midi playback. Then, try playing a midi file such as one of the qws exapmles located in c:\program files\qws through that port. If it works, then we know the problem is something related to QWS. IF not, it's either something related to the module, or something in the actual computer, whether it be drivers, or something completely different. I really hope it does play because that narrows things down a lot.
