HI,

Well, I have just been introduced to QWS and am having trouble getting started. I am a musician more in my dreams, and am interested in "playing around" with this for now. I am 53, and happen to be blind. QWS is, as far as I can tell, very accessible, but I'll need to do everything with keystrokes.

I do have an old midi keyboard (full size keys with midi out ports only), but I think I'll content myself for now by just creating some things using the computer's keyboard. That is, unless that is more difficult than I think.

So, who would be willing to explain a few very basic things to help me create a few measures of music! I thought I could insert a track, then use step record to get something going, but that didn't seem to work.

I'd also like to know if there's any hope of using my old Yamaha keyboard to input into QWS. Based on an article I read about connecting to the computer/QWS, it seems like it might be possible.

many thanks.

Dave

P.S. I would be willing to call someone over the phone if that would be easier!
