Converting mp3s and other audio files has been tried before, not pretty at
all
Either notes are missed, or there are extra notes, or in most cases, quite a
bit of both. As for converting to audio, at least I don't think it fits QWS
right now. But that's James's decision.
There are programs which can do this, I haven't tried them yet because I
don't have a good synth to use them with, the best I have is the yamaha
SYXG50, and Timidity can do it natively. If James really wants to try to
convert audio to mid, I wish him good luck.

WELL JAMES i DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN ADD THIS IN BUT i'D LIKE A FEATURE
EITHER USING THE LAME ENCODERS OR SOMETHING TO GET MP3S AND OGGS TO
CONVERT TO AS WELL AS MIDIS, i AM NOT A WRITER OF MIDS BUT ITS ALWAYS IS
NICE FOR A LISTNER.
ALSO i THINK IT WOULD REALLY ROCK IF YOU COULD HAVE THINGS TO BE ABLE TO
BE IMPORTABLE INTO AUDACITY AS PROJECTS THOUGH THATS PROBABLY REDUNDANT.

Hi,
There will be a new version of QWS, but I have no idea when. I have
not managed to spend a great deal of time programming out of work
hours, so not much progress. As to features - I'm not saying for the
moment.
Another project I am trying to work on is a tutorial, but again, a lot
of work still needs to be done.
Thank you for your patience.
James.
