Hi Conrad,

QWS will attempt to locate the first program change events and will put them in the Initial Track Properties (Track menu). It will also do the same for various other MIDI events.

Hope this helps.

James.

Subject: QWS List Program change issue

Hi All,

I have opened a MIDI file in QWS which has program change info embedded in it before the first beat. For example if I have a viola track in the original file and I change the program to banjo, this program change message in the track right before the first beat always changes it back.

In other software I have worked around this by finding the program change message in the Event list editor and deleting it.

In QWS when I go to Edit> Event list I see volume and note messages but no program change message. Where in QWS can I go to find and delete this?
