Hi,
I will go through the engine menu and tell you how everything is set up. I
just thought of that. Man, I am not very smart sometimes... *smile*
In the midi player, here's my setup:
Player File is checked. It lets you play a file instead of sending the data
in realtime. If you open this dialog and press cancel, it will uncheck the
player file option, so that no file is loaded.
Player sync is checked. It lets you play a wav and midi continuously. There
is another player sync in the wave recorder menu which you should check to
sync a midi and wav file.
In the wav recorder:
Add to Input is checked. I don't know what it does, I just remember changing
it at some point.
Player file and player sync are the same thing they were in the midi player.
Configure Recorder, here's where I set my bit depth and channels. I am using
2 channels at 24 byt, but it really doesn't matter what you use so long as
it is compatible with the program you will be using to edit the files with.
You need the Jaws cursor or similar to see what the numbers for the various
settings are.
Also, it's important that the sampling rate of the file you are playing with
the wav recorder, and the sampling rate in the wave devices are the same. If
they aren't, you will get awful artifacts.
HTH.
