Hi Joe, Many thanks for your reply re my query playing midi files with QWS. I don't
actually have any synths connected to my PC. With the original QWS program, I could just open a midi and play it using the spacebar. I could also delete instruments and carry out other tasks in QWS. Once I had finished changing a midi file that I had downloaded from Internet, I could then record the midi as it was playing then finally save it as a wav or mp3 file to play through an amp as a backing track. As yet, I don't have a keyboard of any kind as I play guitar. However, I am seriously looking at one and that's the reason for installing QWS again. I hope this explanation makes more sense of what I have been doing and want to achieve?
