alright! more web searching, patience and ingenuity threw the following methods:

The gm.dls file is located under the windows/system32 directory, this
is also true of windows7

By replacing this file with a better one.. yes, you don't have reberv
ETC but you would have better sounds, definitely. Maybe.. if I install
the roland synth.. and replace.. their gm.dls file or whatever dls
file they use I can get sort of a custom downloadable sound with
higher quality and potentially also have reberv ETC with all of that?
ANyone knows? this is interesting territory! I will get a different
.dls file and replace the gm.dls with it to konw what happens... file
system protection should be turned off indeed!
