well maybe its his soundcard I have the stock hd chip in this laptop and other systems.
I am planning to transfer some tapes to digital sooner or later.
So I may spend a bit of cash on actually buying a physicall usb module for my use. One good thing is you can aparently buy good speakers for 5.1 for around 150 bucks that go straight to the headphone jack on any card.
