Well, as Brian said, you might be able to get around this with Sysex. I have absolutely no clue how that works, since there doesn't seem to be any logical layout of what messages do what, and they are so different on every device. but if you change the keyboard to the instrument you want as QWS is recording, then the sysex message will get transferred into the recording, and you may be in luck. The sound may come out the way it should have. The keyboard might have its restrictions as to what it wants to do, particularly ifyou plan on using all kinds of effects on different traccks. Yet another reason why I don't mess with that. I leave that to experts. I hope this has been of some help Speaking of Sysex, I'm sure this has been answered before but I have no idea where. Let's say I got a keyboard from one series, and then I got a higher keyboard in that series. Is the midi implementation going to be backward compatible with the older one? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Subject: QWS List Tyros 3 and controllers to set

Hello!

I have a Tyros 3 and use it with QWS. One of these guitars is a electric guitar, but when I chose it in QWS, it sounds only like a clean guitar, not like that rock guitars.*grin* Could anyone tell me, if there is a controller I have to change to make it sound like that and maybe how I could it also make it sound muted to have this chunk sound, like in rock songs? I hope I chose the right words, but I am not familiar with this. Thanks allot for help.
