you need specifi instrument as an bank number and program number in
track properties. Which soundfont did you downloaded? This may be
helpful to be more clear.

Opened QWS, selected Bassmidi as my port.
But how do i use it from there?

I created a new track, Bassmidi is selected in the ports list, but i see
no instruments.
