It is Sf2 which i downloaded.

Oh, i just went to Google and typed in download soundfont.
And went into a website. The first one wouldn't load, so i went into the second
one, and just downloaded the soundfont for a violin, since my Yamaha's one is
pathetic.
If i knew the bank and program numbers ...
I read in the article that i could download GM or GS sound fonts.
Is there a specific website or can i go anywhere and just download it?

Listen, i am very new to this. I don't even know what a sound font
really is!
I downloaded Bassmidi, downloaded two sound fonts from the net, added
the sound fonts in Bassmidi.
Opened QWS, selected Bassmidi as my port.
But how do i use it from there?
Please help.
Not a clue.
I created a new track, Bassmidi is selected in the ports list, but i
see no instruments.
