I've seen Rapture in Sonar 8.5 before. What exactly is it, and
what can it do?

I've moved over to Cakewalk Sonar 8.5 producer with the JAWS
JSonar free
scripts for that very reason, I have huge respect and affection
for QWS

No, but in general the vst interface is mostly not accessible, I
never
seen VST with accessible buttons.
