By 8 do you mean that there are eights and by 16 sixteenth notes per
beat? If So, try qantize with value 2 for eights (as one beat as two
eights) and 4 for sixteenth. I believe that I didn't misinterpreted
something, as sometimes quantize makes me comfused.
