well, hopefully you guys can update the article in combination of
soundfonts with the bassmidi synth which was quite a hit for all of
us. I use it as the replacement for microsoft gs wavetable default
output. To edit soundfonts I would probalby recomend a program that is
quite old but usable even on 7 called audio compositor. Since its
authors are no longer making it nor is it available for download or
buying (I have not found instanfces of it anywhere) I was lucky to be
able to grab a copy from the internet so if you respond privately I
can send to whoever is interested a sendSpace link with it. This
program will also allow you to render the midi files to mp3 using
sound font technology.
