well one of the important aspects of the vst is their accessibility
and design. i personally think soundfonts are a better choice if you
have adequate ram. Some vst's even come pre-configured to work with
different groups (jazz quartet, brass ensemble) so I think the answer
here is trial and error. As long as you can propperly navigate and
have enough documentation on the vst (a list of instruments) I think
pretty much any vst would work. It depends a lot on the particular
parameters they use ETC
