Hi,
I don't really know what could be going on. Bassmidi will do what the
sound font is created to do; I've never seen it mess it up. If you are
dealing with nonstandard fonts, like those that are not gm or gs, then
you are dealing with the mercy of the developer, and it's possible that
he did something very odd but even those things you are experiencing
sound strange.
Where did you get the fonts you are having problems with? Perhaps I
could take a look at them and see what's up.

Hello guys.
I'm Andres from Colombia, south america, and I'm very new to this list.
I'm subscribed to many lists, and to be fair honest since my gMail
imbox is full of messages, I've not have opportunities to participate.
Well, lets go to the main subject.
I decided to subscribe to this list, because finally, I've been able
to learn how to use QWS0. I found QWS as a great tool for making
music. I'll purchace a midi keyboard to be able to write music using
the sequencer, because honestly I'm seeing that playing with the
keyboard is very limited for me.
OK, so I installed bass midi, and some of my soundfonts are: Korn
2009, ban ham or however its spelled, Wang studio, and some others. So
I configure the soundfont I want to be used with bassmidi, but I'm
finding a little problem with the drums.
Some times, when using for example general GM2 or GS instruments, and
having selected channel 10 in the track properties, I don't get drums
but instead other types of instruments.
Or, in the case of general GM, I get a standard drum, but I really
don't like it a lot for music production. so I tried to use another
program as somebody explained me, but it doesn't work. With general
GM2 or GS, I can choose another type of drums when channel 10 is
selected, but some times they still sound the same with no difference,
or instead of getting, for example, a standard drum, I get an acoustic
piano or another type of instrument.
Am I missing something? is something wrong with it? Finally, I tell
you that I'm using a realtek soundcard, the one bundled in my PC. I'm
also using WIndows7 32 bits.
Any solutions? I'm really wanting to make great things after I get the
midi keyboard
