andrés! welcome to the list first of all. In my experience, it seems that your soundfonts are probably not following the gm or gs standards, or that you somehow have some banks wrong (check for the midi events list, you will find some program or patch or bank changes there, maybe they are all generated by the keyboard when you are recording anyway) Keep in mind that you must have a big sound font, usually 20 mb or more in size because those are the sound fonts with the most number of instruments recorded. Maybe the sound fonts you are using bring some files describing how they work? I say it is important to check for program and bank numbers inside the track properties because this is what could be causing the sound fonts to not work. Also, keep in mind that bassmidi uses soundfonts which are at the end or the bottom of the list firsts, and if it cannot find an instrument on that soundfont it will move to the next one and find it there, ETC. Also, bank numbers are not simply calculated at 1, 2, ETC . if you want bank 2 usually you would hve to put bank 256 and it depends a lot on the sound font. You can look inside soundfonts and their structure with a piece of software that i have which works very good with any screen reader, called audio compositor. If you want it uploaded respond to me privately at [email protected] If you didn't know, there is an interface translation (courtesy of me) available.
Let me know if you need more details, paisano! saludos 2013/4/9, Nicole Massey <[email protected]>: > Bassmidi hits soundfont banks in order, so the order in which you have them > installed makes a huge difference.
