Ah... that. Yes it's not horrible, but it does have issues, as do most
audio to midi conversion tools.

Hi,
The tool I used was a very old tool called AmazingMidi. Its meant for
single-instrument conversions and it's not half bad, but the MIDI is
still too ...muddy so to speak ... to isolate usable melodies, at
least with this song. After splitting everything out that you don't
need anymore, you end up with a broken skeleton of a song that is
broken in so many ways that to fix them all would take shorter than to
play the whole thing yourself :)

Hi,
After using the Split tools, you never need to Undo, as the original
is always kept. If you start with 1 track and do a Key Split on it,
you'll end up with 3 tracks: the original, the inclusive and the
exclusive.
More info in the Manual, Tools section.
For deleting a melody, I normally go straight to the Note Editor and
hit the Delete key on the notes I want to remove. Hope this helps.
Best regards,
James.

Hi,
Just curious... what was that utility?
AS far as i know separating chords from melodies isn't an easy task in
any sequencer. Maybe if I knew what program you used, I could help tweak
it so that it gives less bad notes.

Hi,
I have found an old little utility that changes an input file (wave)
into an output file (midi) and rthis works quite well, amazingly
enough. Sadly though the vocals and reverb on these vocals generate a
lot of 'digital noise' so to speak, high notes , and an estimation of
the melody that is all wrong due to a number of factors ...sadly
everything appears to have been put in one big MIDI track. Is there a
way for me to get rid of the junk so only the chord voicings remain?
