Hi Patrick,
I'm sure one of the experts will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it's as straight forward as recording it as you would an ordinary track for however long the dump process takes, then saving it as a .syx file so you get the raw sysex data.
It's a while since I have done it, but I hope that helps some.

It's been a few years since I've done anything with QWS. Today, I have a
use-case. I need to send a Sys-Ex dump from my Ensoniq TS-12, including
all programs and sequencer memory. Having read the TS-12 manual's
section on this, this looks like a pretty straight-forward process from
the keyboard side. What steps are necessary to store Sys-Ex in QWS? I've
only ever used it to send Sys-Ex out to another device.
