I was disappointed with the MIDI capabilities of some of the Yamaha keyboards. My YPG635, for example, allows for clock synchronization and bulk dumps, but no direct access to the voices or the use of the keyboard. Read the manual, carefully. There are only a few sentences that describe these limitations. Not being familiar with your specific model, I may be off in left field. If so, I apologize in advance.
