If you aren't getting anywhere with the midi interface you have, I know of another one you could get from Yamaha. It's the Yamaha UX16, http://usa.yamaha.com/products/music-production/accessories/usb-midi/ux16/ and there is a driver on line you have to install before you can use the cable with your keyboard. The driver can be found here: http://download.yamaha.com/usb_midi/ Note, however, that it is a good idea to have the midi interface plugged into your computer while installing the driver. Once the driver is installed, just plug it into your keyboard and into your computer, turn off local, go into QWS, and choose the port Yamaha UX16 1, or whatever your computer will call it. I hope this helps. God bless, Seth.
