CPU spike.
Check your task manager, organise it by CPU usage and see what's causing the
slowdown.
Not a QWS problem, but QWS of course heavily relies on the system clock
being accurate and without glitch.
Fix whatever's causing the CPU to peg, you've fixed your QWS problem. Done.
