Hi David,

May I ask, did you install QWS to the default folder of c:\program files (x86)\qws?

If so, then the behaviour you report is perfectly "normal" according to Windows.

The reason this is happening is because you are normally not allowed to write to the program files folders.

So, Windows has "virtualised" the save operation.
You can probably find the files you have saved in your User Profile.

So, it will be something along the lines:

c:\users\
<your user name>\
app data\
local\ **
VirtualStore\
program files (x86)\
qws
(exclamation)

** might be LocalLo or Roaming, but probably Local.

That's a great tip from Nicole about getting around this huge long pathname!

I trust this helps.

God bless,

James.

Subject: QWS List finding your midi files

I can create midi files in QWS and save them to the QWS directory and I see

all of my midi files while I'm in the Save or Save As dialog.

Thing is, when I traverse through Windows 10 "This" and find the QWS

directory, I don't see any of the midi files.

My intent is to back up those files but I can't find a way to view the files

to backup.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
