Seth, I tried this and there was nothing about running as administrater.
I am running Win 10 and it may be different from your OS.
I still can make Proteus VX run because of problems with audio drivers.
When I did a search for this program, I found various versions. Maybe I
got the wrong one. I'm floundering around here and sinking.
Someone just offered me a Triton Rack. If it still works, that would
bail me out of this.
I can send instructions from the controler to the computer, but how
would I connect the computer to the MIDI In on the Triton?

Joe, have you tried running it as administrator? I had some problems with this
on my Windows 8 machine if I remember correctly. It gave me an error first time
I opened it, so what I did was went into the context menu, (press your
applications key or right click the mouse), and chose run as administrator,
and it worked.
