I have the following:

 [1] "CRAN_df"      "CRAN_df0"     "CRAN_df1"     "CRAN_mat"     "CRAN_sp"
 [6] "CRAN_spdf1"   "CRAN_spdf2"   "CRAN_spdf4"   "delauney_NY"  "dist2_NY"
[11] "dist3_NY"     "Gabriel_NY"   "NY8a_nb"      "rel_neigh_NY" "scot_BNG"
[16] "SOI_NY"
> rm(pattern="NY*")
Warning message:
In rm(pattern = "NY*") : object 'NY*' not found
>

How do I remove all of NY* items, please?  I suspect it might be an sapply issue
