Dear all,
We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course “Developing Shiny Apps
with AI”, taking place on 9, 11, and 13 February 2026.

This course provides a practical introduction to using large language models
(LLMs) to develop and improve Shiny apps in R. Participants will learn the
essentials of LLMs, how to integrate them into coding workflows, and how to use
tools such as GitHub, VS Code, Docker, and OpenAI’s Codex.

Across three afternoons (2–6 PM CET), the course will cover:

Fundamentals of LLMs and prompt engineering

Basics of Shiny app development and UI/UX design

Version control with GitHub

Coding strategies and debugging with LLMs

Using coding agents effectively in real-world workflows
This course is ideal for researchers and data practitioners with some R
experience who want to enhance their coding skills with AI-driven tools.
