Hi,
There is currently an issue with RBloomberg and the most recent version of
the Bloomberg API. I am aware of this and think I have a fix, although due
to a change in jobs I no longer have regular access to a Bloomberg
workstation so it might be a few more days before I am able to publish the
fix.
In the mean time if you have the older version of the API, you should be
able to use RBloomberg by specifying the full path to the older JAR file in
blpConnect using the blpapi.jar.file named argument. Remember to escape your
backslashes in the path. (If anyone gets that working perhaps reply to this
thread with a full script that others can copy - or let me know if it
doesn't work.)
If anyone has a machine with Bloomberg *and* the R packaging tools for
Windows and would like to create a build, that would be great, let me know
off-list. Otherwise I will get to this as soon as I can.
