I understand the resentment of the "ought to be going" tone of my post. I am
not happy about having the expectation that more of our members would be
going, particularly since I understand the financial concerns so well. I've
just heard so many people saying how WorldCon and other cons are seeing
dwindling attendance, and how readership is falling off, and this and that
is declining with specfic that the lackluster response is disappointing. OK,
maybe WorldCon isn't the best way to support specfic, but it's something,
and it's in North America, and it's probably going to have some good stuff.
