Ah. That was another possibility I considered. But I kept thinking about the
piecework thing.
This reminds me of the guy who does artistic renderings of large
denomination bills (like, say, Ben Franklin in red & yellow paisley) and
then goes out and barters them for goods and services at ordinary stores, as
performance art. The Treasury says it's no problem because he's not
representing them as US currency, but apparently they still routinely get
calls about it.
