First of all, I trust the current SC honesty completely, so the thought of fraud from the SC has not crossed my mind. Note that this possibility can't be eliminated anyway, since the SC is in charge of the voting process. Second, you could make all ballots public, including the spoiled ones. That way the community can decide if the vote is legitimate. In any case the expected number of spoiled ballots is really low so this does not seem like a major issue.
