I still like the strong analogy between | and ".  Still, it's a small
point compared to the acceptance of | into a standards proposal at all.

It should also be noted that |...| as currently specified is incompatible
with Unicode escapes, so an ASCII-only Scheme in case-folding mode
will have to print the symbol whose name is "O�ω" (that's an omega)
as \x4F;\x3C9;.
