Some people will need a Remote. Some of those already have more SB remotes then they can use. Logitech already has a Remote for sell that is separate all by itself so adding a Battery only is about the same as adding a Battery/Remote package. Either way, still two items with two sku's, taking up two shelf locations. In my opinion might as well just be a battery only and a backlit remote only. That way if I only need a Remote, then buy the Remote. If I only need a Battery, just buy a Battery. If I need both, then buy both.
