I agree that this is a backwards step.  While the fat vs slim point is
interesting, why shouldn't it be possible to configure the player from
the SBS web interface regardless of how "fat" the player is? 
Manipulating the player is fiddly, whereas manipulating web interface is
"easier".

If all Squeeze players go the SqueezeOS route (leaving the Boom as the
last "slim" player) it would be sad indeed for settings not be settable
from the web UI of the central SBS server.  I see no reason why we can't
have the best of both worlds.
