One other observation. When i wake up at night and the clock is too bright I have been shining my iPhone screen at the sensor. This makes the display light up further but when I turn off the iPhone the Radio display will reduce to a dimmer setting that before. I am half convinced that the display gets brighter in the night. BTW. I live in the middle of nowhere. There are no passing cars and no street lights so the light level in the room should not change whilst I am asleep. I still wonder about reflection of the Radio's display off the bed sheets (ala Boom) but as I seem to be alone with this problem think that it is probably a faulty sensor (or something).
