I still have a non-premium Sirius streaming account since I renewed my
account before they stopped offering non-premium - does that mean
Squeezebox Sirius plugin will not work at all?

Why don't I just leave all my light bulbs on all the time as well? Or
my oven for that matter...

I've measured my PC and other devices with a Kill-A-Watt, it uses
*considerable* amounts of power even when 'off' or on but idle.
